Today on the way to work the brake pedal became hard and required a lot of pressure in order to stop. After about five mminutes the pedal returned to normal. The brake light never came on. Could it still be the accumulater?
You may have a ground problem with the leads on the presure switch.
It grounds both the motor relay and the dash light to the same point.
It that gound looses contact, the motor won't run (won't keep pressure in the acc ball) and the light won't come on to tell you there's a problem.
You will probably need to trace the wire from pin c to it's ground location and make sure it isn't broken or loose. Not a common problem, but it can happen.
Once you have done that, run the diagnostics to be sure there aren't any other problems. Powermaster Diagnostics
