Brake Question

Am looking at a 1987 GN. When you apply the brakes the brake light comes on for a second or 2 then goes off. Car stops fine. Can anyone tell me what might be the problem and the cost to fix?

When that happened to me a few years ago it was the accumulator ball. It was an easy fix and the part through gmpartsdirect was about $60. I have heard that GM discontinued the part and now when you find one it's closer to $150. Hopefuly someone will chime in and tell you where to get a new one. Otherwise, I would call one of the vendors on this board and see if they have one.
