Hey guys,

I have a oppurtunity to get a brand new never installed in a car 2004R tranny for $525 dollars. It somes with a factory torque converter. Ive been told that it is universal bolt pattern. I dont know if that mean BOP or BOP & Chevy too) I do not know if its a BRF or what tag it has for that matter. If I were to get ahold of this what are the more desirable numbers to look for(ie BRF)? I dont want to buy it if Its not gonna be worthy of using.

Thanks,
Chris

If that is a brand new off the assembly line unit then it would be worth the $525 to someone no matter what its calibrated for. The case is probably nearly perfect and free of any grime or aluminum oxide. You could pick up the correct governor, servo, pressure reg assembly and vb/plate for a TR or MCSS and have a nice clean unpainted trans that has new guts in it. If its a BR, CZ, or KZ its a steal at $525.
