breaking the tires free at 30 mph

I have a general question. I bought my car with a lot of upgrades including street slicks I put on some og factory rims and street tires. When I floor it from a stand still 2nd gear don't chirp it starts laying a strip of rubber and then 3rd chirp. My question is do a factory gn do the same thing or is my car just running that hard.I've never rode in a fcactory gn or one with just mild upgrades.

I don't think a bone stock factory GN would break the tires loose at 30mph...they did only have a 215 wide tire but I doubt it.

Its a lot of fun flooring at 25 30 and the tire let loose. and all the new srt8 and chevy ss owners start to respect the old school a little more

I have a stock limited and will chirp second every time. It still has 215's on it, will lay it down around 20 or so

Depends on the weather. My stock GN with rebuilt trans to stock spec would always chirp 1-2 or spin both a few feet if cold on the 1-2 shift. My stock T on an original 170k mile trans would only spin them if I was turning slightly, such as left through a large divided highway, it wouldn't chirp, the trans was too sloppy with high miles. A buddies near stock low mile GN would chirp or spin them a few feet as well on the 1-2 shift.

Right now in the T, if I brake boost at say 55mph, it lights the 275's up no problem....

Not stock but my 225 kelly chargers are useless below 50 from any kind of kickdown or from a stop

Mines pretty stout as well 275s @ 60 mph and the thing still boils the tires. For some reason I cannot find anyone that wants to play on the street. I've pulled next to stangs ,vettes and still no takers lmao

U must have a lot of older guys with sport car and don't want to feel bad about getting beat buy a 6 cyl around here these young guys always trying me with there ss and srt8 even the guys with cut up race cars talk smack to me.its funny because at the track the only beat me by a nose and I can drive my car home lol

Never had a problem when I had my 86t always had people wanting to race it was a 12 sec car now I got a mid to high 10 second car nobody lol

I call it "second gear boost burning". I blame my balding rear tires on that move, it's also priceless seeing a passenger squirming and grabing for anything possible, after shifting into second as everything is normal then putting it to the floor for a couple seconds,, that's one that usually makes me smile...Mike

I try and succeed at not letting the tires break loose at any time. I prefer going forward as fast as i can without the loss of traction slowing me down. I find this more impressive than chirping,squeeling or smoking the tires.

It sounds like white hot 1 need some work on his turbo car! The only person that won't smoke the tire or chirp 2nd is a person that has a car that won't.and everbody love to see a turbo car leave hard
