BRF trans in TTA

Will the electric speedo pickup from a Turbo Trans Am TAF trans swap directly into a Regal BRF trans? Anyone know if the drive gear tooth count is the same on the tailshaft of each trans too?
Need to pull the trans out of my TTA and I was going to stick a rebuilt BRF I have in it till I get the original Trans Am TAF trans rebuilt.

Pretty sure that is all you have to do...I am running a built BRF in my TTA.
