Contact Chris at CKPerformace Jim. He's one of the vendors and has been very helpful to me. He has no problem talking to you about what you're having a problem with and has offered his help beyond belief for me.

I think it is the junk band i used in the rebuild of my brf unit.
In the bq rebuild i used a wide band clamps tight and still clamping tight.

There are several reasons it could've gone soft Jim. I'm not a tranny guy myself, thats why I said call Chris. He's just north of you in NYC so it's not to far.

Either the band has stopped holding (burned or material has flaked off etc..) Or the servo pin has punched through the band, or the anchor hole is stretched/broken anchor. It could be a seal on the servo but I haven't run into bad servo seals very often other than botched installs.

I would look at the band as well. Could have also broken the 1-2 accumulator spring softening up the shift as it will have more accumulator, faster than with a complete spring of the original length. Now it can "drop" faster and that will allow the band to not apply as quickly but you would notice it less than the servo punching thru the band or anchor tearing.

I am thinking exactly this excluding the seal. Looks like another weekend warrior deal here. do u think i should just get a refurbished drum while im at it.
