wow didn't know Mir had so many cheerleaders:rolleyes: The whole ending up on the ground thing was just MHO. I just want to see a good fight.

Fights are usually boring when they go to the ground which is why you will never see the ref place people on the ground when standing up but you will often see them stand them up from lack of action while on the ground.

Sure there have been some great fights and submissions take place on the ground but ur not gonna see any of that from Brock. I would doubt if he has ANY submission skills other then his weight.:o

Unless there is some unusual submission performed id rather see them stand up and actually fight. If I wanted to watch a wrestling match then I would turn on the WWE and watch bozos like Brock smother each other.

MMA is about entertainment for the fans. A strictly only wrestler is down right lame!:o I would not pay to watch Brock fight but I surely would to watch Penn, St. Pierre, Silva, Favor, etc... Brock is just heavy and has too much of that corny WWE in him.

You should train. you seem to really be well versed in mma. This whole time i thought Fedor subbed kevin randlemen with a shoulder lock called a kimura. thanks to you ive learned that any submission where ur holding ur opponents arm must be an armbar! thanks. I was also under the impression that tim sylvia, andre arlovski and antonio rodrigo nogueira all held belts in the exact same organization that jesus, i mean brock lesnar has. turns out they are minor league guys. Teach me more sensei!

I dont have the fight right here in front of me to go back and watch it. I know the difference between a kimura and arm bar and I dont remember that fight ending in a kimura but I'm probably wrong. Just because I dont train doesnt mean I dont know **** about the sport. I'd wager Ive been an MMA fan longer than you've been training or been a fan but whatever.

Lets be honest, when Sylvia and Arlovski held the belts, the UFC HW division was weak. What did Sylvia do after leaving the UFC for "greener pastures?" Nothing. Arlovski got a gift against Big Country and got put to sleep by Fedor and Brett Rogers.

Im not saying that Fedor isnt a great fighter. Im saying that he's ducking top talent. I also think Brock would beat him strictly from a strength and positioning standpoint. That doesnt mean Brock is more technical than Fedor because he isnt but he is much bigger, has a way better base and Fedor's takedown defense isnt all that great. No one has problems getting him down, they just usually get subbed from his guard. I dont think that would happen to Brock because he wouldnt give him the room to pull out a sub.

Whatever tho.. you just trotted out the typical Sherdog response of "You dont know **** because you dont train" so its not like Im taking you seriously anyway.

If Jay is bringing up Sherdog an apology is probably in order.
For what it is worth I personally have talked to Jay about MMA for years.
In addition he was a fan long before that.

Ive been a member over there for 7 years and I still post occasionally but so many people come and go, its not really worth getting invested in the community.

Sylvia let the UFC after Randy Couture kicked his arse!!! And Lesner kicked Randys butt!!!! Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Well, this isnt a good gauge because at some point age is going to catch up with Randy. A lot of people say it already has and Im not really inclined to argue. Randy's contract dispute that took him out of competition for a year and a half I think made the difference. He hasn't looked all that great since.

He was an "old" man when he kicked Sylvias butt!! Sylvia was a big tub of lard and Brock is too big, too fast and too strong!!! Carwin will be a good match for Brock!! They say he has bigger hands then Brock and Brock had to have special gloves made for his meat hooks!!

I hope Carwin takes Mirs head off!!
