Disconnect the plug from the ignition module. Pull some of the wrap around the wires and check the wires and their respective insulation. Like I posted earlier, this is the last thing I did and it turned out to be the problem...

If it was the crank sensor then the Casper's tester should show the coil pack good. Also why is there no check engine light?

You are talking about the wide flat plug in for the module, check there for a split insulation?

The Caspers coil tester will show you if you Ignition and coil are in working order and help find a coil miss fire at different rpm ranges. If your tester is working fine then I would lean towards the Coil/ module problem. But that don't address your no check engine light?

" I checked the coil/module and there is nothing there now, tested with the Caspers tester".
What do you mean by this? Tester won't fire the coils?
Look in the ends,[ module and plug] and see what the pins look like..
Take the coil pak off the module. What do you see?
Is the coil/module mount powdercoated? Are the mount nuts clean & tite? Bad/no ground and the ign will not work.
All the bolts/bracket in place to mount the module to the engine?

I would check by the ecm plugs also I had a friend who ecu was getting water in the plug and the ground pin which makes no sense to me rotted off from the ecm. And check your fuses.

caspers tester does fire the coils.
I was swapping in a known good coil pack when I broke off the metal tab goig to the module:mad:
I am next going to troubleshoot the no check engine light colleing chart A1. Hopefully that will lead we some where good

Every check has passed except spark/coil module test. So I made a purchase from NOS4GN bought both coil and module.

Viola, she starts and runs again. O'Reilly coil and module failed again.

Still need to remove dash and now replace the check engine light.
