broken harmonic balancer

bought a tta last week,was doing some tuning and on the first pass the harmonic balancer broke right in front of where the shaft slides on the crank,what causes this?on a side note my intercooler didnt like it so well or my water pump.thanks

Are you sure it's broken? or did the bolt that holds it in place loosen up.

Did the balancer split in two, or just come off? Is the bolt still present? Some pics will help.

i've been busy,yes its broke.bolt was still there but loosened with my finger,it didnt split,it broke off,i'll try to get pics,

Bolt came loose with finger tells something for sure! The pics will be interesting.

did the bolt snap....even if loose the balancer cannot come off until bolt is removed...
