Broken spark plug insulator at WOT

The detonation broke the plug, it didn't just break on it's own.

Been there done that with a Bosch Platinum years ago.

Nothing but CR-43's since.

Luckily the tip end made it through the turbo on mine.

NGK 2817 is their racing plug with recessed electrode tip and work awesome with higher boost in Iron heads ...id say 22 and higher. I gap mine at .032

You may have to order them in some parts store do have them on the shelf tho. I ordered mine through Amazon

FWIW, I ended up getting a set of Denso 5331/ITF20 (standard heat range) from Ebay, which is the equivalent of the NGK UR6IX. Will try a set of Denso 5330/ITF22 (one range colder) if those give me any issues...or maybe the NGK 2817 or NGK YR5.
