Bruce,,

I spoke with you about my trans. Invoice #5118 . You said to take line pressures then contact you.

Here are the original numbers from your sheet
P:120,300,285
R:160,255,240
N:120,300,285
OD:125,265,240
D:125,250,240
2:140,250,235
1:135,245,230

I warmed up the car and then took the following readings, leaving the TV attached for the Idle at 1000, then removed it and pulled half way (approx) at 1500, then full at 1500. These are the numbers I got. (doesn't look to good.)

P:120,170,175
R:160,135,135
N:122,164,165
OD:85,140,145
D:80,125,120
2:85,105,105
1:75,95,97

Any input would be great.

Pull the pan and look at the pressure regulator valvetrain. Probably a stuck TV boost valve, there is no boost in low or reverse.
I had issue with one of the .570 boost valves sticking. Pull it out and check it and if it is sticking deburr it with crocus cloth or replace.

ANy idea

Any reason the pressure is off so much from the initial test? Some are off over 100 psi! Can low fluid or over fluid be any cause? If i am able to fix the TV problem will my pressure go back to original numbers, or even close?

Yes,
The TV boost valve acts on the pressure regulator to cause a pressure rise. If you have no boost, you won't have pressure rise.

Heres Picture

It came out okay.

In the lower rt corner, above the date...
near the shift linkage is a round hole, with an internal snap ring holding the pressure regulator valvetrain assembly in place.

Give me a call

When you get a chance. That doesn't seem right. It sounds more like the Int boost valve is sticking. Just out of curiousity, How much fluid is in the trans?
If it is low on fluid, that could be a cause. Give me a shout anyway as I am curious as well.
