Buick versus Ford Event at Noble - Oct 12th 2013

Next years shirt will have a black GN for sure. Maybe two GN's and two Stangs. I know Stephanie got plenty of pics of both. The shirts were not nearly as dark a grey that I asked for, and by the time I got to see a proof, it was one day out. My bad for not getting on it sooner. As far as Buick vs Ford, the payouts will be bigger next year and will surely bring out some more heavy hitter Fords.... So, if we don't add LS, you guys better start recruiting some nasty NASTY Buicks, olds, pontiacs and caddys!!!!

They are out there just check Bowling Green this week. Maybe some big payouts will get them to Noble? Do you care to be a little more specific on what the payout amounts might be?

Well not quite sure yet. There was $2000 in payout this year. $750 to the winner. Although I didn't advertise it. I wonder what it would take to get some more heavy hitter Buicks to come? $2000 winner, $500 runner up? Give ideas please!

That is a pretty nice payout for only a $30 entry fee. Of course I understand the Sponsors paid most of that if not all.

Does the track keep the full gate? 79 Fords and 67 Buicks @ $30 each is $4380.00. Track rentals around here are 5K and up. I always did wonder how the Ok club was able to hold this event and let out of state Buicks in for free?

You would have to advertise the $$$ on the 2014 flyer I would think to help get the word out and the earlier the better.

I don't think I've seen that one before David. Very cool pic. It may have given me an idea what to do with the 83 NA with the rotted out rear trunk area. How about a Regal truck.

On t-shirts you do more than one color on the back of the shirt it cost way more which means less profit to give to pay out. That's why we put all sponsors on the back as black. Any one that can help with sponsors for next year let either Blake and I know. We will have to get together to get better orginized for the amounts that sponsors paid. This year it was thrown together in a month. We got lucky.

Again it's my bad that there was not a GN on the t-shirt. I had my reason and Blake wanted to change it and he didn't cause of me. Would never of thought people would not buy a tshirt cause of a gn not being on it. Actually I am totally shocked.

I had an awesome time, met a lot of new friends and will be back next year no matter how many Fords or what the rules might be! Not sure how many out of state people asked for money; it was worth every penny of $30 to me. Small price to pay to be humbled with my 0.562 RT! Blake - thanks for your efforts. There aren't many shirts out there that have a Buick of any kind on it. Why wouldn't a shirt for an event that features a certain car not have an image of that car on the shirt?

I am trying to make contact with the track to get all of the tech cards, for names, etc. Yes, newbie mistake. I can get the results to quiksix in an excel format, but they will be missing the names.
