There are several different build sheets used on our cars. The main,or what I like to call the big build sheet was usually hog ringed behind the rear seat back. I call it the big build sheet because it has everything on it. Sometimes you can also find it hog ringed under one of the front seats. The one usually found behind the drivers door is just for the interior and the one underneath the hood liner is for the exterior. Thats not to say you couldn't find the big sheet there too. I have found build sheets in the following locations on various models that I have owned and from cars I have pulled parts from in the boneyard.
Under the:
Seats
Carpet
Trunk Liner
Headliner
Hood Insulator
Behind the:
Glove Box
HVAC Control
Speedometer
All of the interior trim panels
And on top of the gas tank.
