My front bumper on my 87 T is pushed in a 1/2" on the passenger side. Can the absorbers be pulled out once there pushed in?, or are they no good after they are pushed in?

Thanks,
Eric

Thanks. Another question, are these the same on all G-bodys? A friend has a 78 Malibu that he said I could take one of the absorbers off of.

I have had the rear absorbers pushed in on both of my cars, and I popped them both back out. One I had to use a small bottle jack to get it to move out on, and the other me and a buddy just pulled it out. I think they are fine as long as the hit that pushed it in didnt bend anything.

I hate to say this but most body shops pull them back out after they are pushed in and by federal law they are suppose to change them. They are a one time thing. You can pull them back out but the next time they are hit they will push in like they was never there. I hope this info helps. I just learned all that the hard way.

I tried the bottle jack and it didn't work, also after looking at it more closely the aluminum bumper support is pushed bacin that area so it makes the turn signal bezel stick out. I put soome shims behind the bumper to even it out more just to get it off the filler. Will fix everything when I get a new absorber.
