My body shop suggested that i get a new Rear bumper filler . He said the one of the car is brittle and might not show well when the rest of the car is painted . should I replace it and where would I order one ?

get fiberglass, the abs set that i got was crap. i'd also try to save the ones on your car now, pack rat them. gbodyparts.com

I have two cars one abs and the other fiberglass. I like the abs. I had to beef up the corner piece where the two pieces come together other then that they look great. The fiberglass I had to adjust and fill low spots.

the abs they sent me, didn't fit, weren't put together good, etc... they had a woodgrain like finish on them. the were terible.

got the fibglass, smooth, fit, much better.

maybe i just got a bad set of abs, but if i did- that'll keep me from using or promoting them. i wouldn't tell anyone to put something on their car, that i wouldn't put on my own car. i wouldn't use abs.

Found this on the Gbody website. Why should we pay extra shipping when we revieve an inferior part? Does the mfg. take care of return shipping? Maybe the parts should be inspected for defects prior to shipping?

Here is the link: http://gbodyparts.com/bumperfiller.html

"Our supplier has no problem taking back a part & checking to see if there are any fitment problems by checking it against the mold. If no problems are found they will let us know. If there is a manufacturer's defect they have no problem making it right & replacing the part.

They will not replace any painting or shipping costs. The parts should always be mounted & test fitted before installation. You never want to paint an item until it is properly fitted. When ever you have an item that is aftermarket there "can" be some slight modifications to make it 100% correct to your liking. Please Keep in mind the vehicles are 20+ years old now & could have been wrecked or raced where the body is not aligned 100% like it was the day it was built."

I was the one who added that into the site. Due to the workmanship of an aftermarket part. No our supplier will not take care of shipping. I'm not happy about it either. Most are nice but like you read they do have quality control problems. This is the answer I got back after ripping them a new one. They had no problem taking the $ but when there were problems it's oh well. You'll find that out with alot of manufacturers of products.

We had bill in this month from them trying to re-charge me for 3 sent back fillers from the previous month. I said no & if you can't do accounting we will stop carrying your products all together.
413turbo one was from your set that they refused when sent back.
Most of the time they are good. Once in a while you may get a bad set. They have changed hands from the person I was dealing with & it is different in many aspects. I would say 98% we have not had a problem with. It was even less then that until February.

That has to be a PIA to be in the middle between an unhappy customer and a manufacturer that doesn't care. I've had issues with some of my suppliers, but they said just send the part back. That means another trip to the customer's home (I'm in the gas fireplace industry) and the BS of boxing and UPSing it back. I solved that issue......I just stopped carrying that item.

Hopefully they will get the QA issues resolved.

I went with the Fiber glass . Hopefully the will arrive at the BS soon . I will send pixs once the car is done
