I need a rear bumper filler but am worried about spending a fortune on a used original for fear it will crack over time.

I hear people always complaining about the fiberglass ones.
How bad can they be?

Who sells decent ones that won't brake my piggy bank?

Pros and cons for each.

Search the Gen TB Tech section for "bumper fillers", and you'll have all the info you could want. We've been hashing this one out pretty good over the last year or two.

Happy spooling.

I bought the ABS ones and had to do a lot of extra work to make them fit correctly. Now that they are on they look great but if I had to do it again it would be fiberglass. Remember the OEM ones were made 20 some odd years ago. Their life expectancy doesn't change because they are on a shelf somewhere.

I need to replace them on both of mine, so I'm looking at fiberglass personally when $$'s permit.. I don't see the sense in paying all that extra $$ for the factory GM pieces.. when they're eventually going to do what your originals did..
