Bumper trim?

Just thought I'd ask but iv seem a few cars with the rubber bumper stops that have a white outline on them is this a factory option or just somthing people do?

Do you know for what years? Is it just T types or gns also?

G/Ns had solid black strip; replacements all have the white stripe as default, which can be removed w/ mineral spirits(?)
slid black is correct for G/N
