Having a tough time right now deciding what mod I need next. My combo is below and I am running a stock IC. Always was thinking of putting alcohol on, but then I thought I may need an IC instead.
I've read all I can and saw that Razor dynoed Cals car without an IC and on Alcohol. That's what got me thinking. Do I really need an IC or will the stocker be fine. I just worry about pushing all that boost through the small IC and turbo lag which I have now by the way. I think it's mainly due to the cam and hopefully a chip leaner down low can fix that.
Anyway, what are your thoughts?
 
I would go ahead and get the Alky. I got it first and have no regrets, but now I am looking at an intercooler. There is some good info in the thread I started about intercooler gains with alky

You didnt mention converter your using.

By the looks of your mods, i'd do a stretch stock location like the new PTE or Thunder Fab. But your spool is more than likely a converter/tuning issue.

You modified the airflow through the motor.. heads, cam, etc.. now go and take the next step.

You can probably get away with a Dutt neck stocker, tho an aftermarket stock location with an alky kit you'd be done.

Same can be said of doing heads and cam then running a stock turbo.. its a mismatch.

mods in sig?

Are the mods in your sig what you are using now? If so, I would definitely go with a stock location i/c, however, if you are so slow to spool you may have other issues.......like torque converter......computer chip.....etc etc, you do have a lot of boost to be pushing through though......if you figure it out (your spooling issue and if it non-converter related......) get an intercooler, with that much boost, it would be safer and more efficient if you got an intercooler first, then alky, doesn't make any sense to push a large amount of boost through such a small outlet, even if it is cooled off.......i got the stock location i/c and plan on getting Razor's kit, VERY SOON;)
