Im most likely buying an 84 GN this weekend...car looks to be in great shape....100k miles...t-top..posi...all power....folowing mods.... 3" DOWN PIPE, 3" HIGH FLOW CATALYTIC CONVERTER, TORQUE TECH CAT BACK DUAL EXHAUST WITH 2 CHAMBER FLOW MASTERS, GREEN STRIPE INJECTORS AND ADJUSTABLE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR, MECHANICAL VACUUM/BOOST -OIL PRESSURE - WATER TEMPERATURE GAUGES....im not sure where that will take a hot air...anyone have any idea 1/4 wise?.....also what problem areas should i be looking for when i check it out...it has some rust on drivers door and its been driven like 3k in the last few years while being garaged kept......any advice to keep me from getting burned?

This article should help for buying a tr. http://www.gnttype.org/general/buyguide.html
As for 1/4 time I had almost the same setup on mine except for the 3" dp I have a 2.5"dp. When I ran mine at the track it had a blown turbo inlet gasket and was running 6psi of boost it ran a 14.8xx. Now it runs fine on the street with 15 to 16 psi of boost and 1 if any degree of knock. This was before the dump pipe and with the stock suspension.

1st thing I'd do is put a walbro pump in it and hotwire it. Then get a scantool and start tuning.

eveyone seems to have the walboro and hotwire....where is the cheapest place to get them from.

ALSO what kind of price should i expect to be paying for this car...ball park numbers?

blueta 14.8's with 6 psi
Is that bad or good? I think I would do better now that I replaced the gasket and did a little work on the suspension. New Moog springs, KYB shocks, boxed the lower control arms. Plus I had a full tank of 93 octane and street tires.

well, I'm pretty new to tr's but I would think that 6psi that would be good. What was your mph?
