youd laugh if i told you how long i have invested in them....

You aren't kidding!

I *should* be finishing up mine this weekend. The whole job (remove rear, clean, cut, drill holes, enlarge holes, wash, paint, setup gears, install in car, etc) is taking WAY longer than I ever imagined!!!

Everyone is using Permatex's "The Right Stuff" for a sealer?

Where are you guys applying it? How much is "a lot"??

Thanks,

I use the Ultra Grey RTV from Permatex,This stuff is tough and 3 years and no leaks

Thats what ive used in mine..no leaks whatsoever. From the looks of the original post its been at least 3.5 years.

I applied it where the instructions told me to. I then went beyond that and put some on the flat area of the clip elim , basically where the bolts go.

I just picked up a set of rear Aerospace brakes,So ill be
checking mine now on the install

Everything is done and back on the car, but I haven't driven it yet. I also did control arm bushings (upper & lower), and welded the tubes to the center section, so that increased the labor on my part. I had the axle out of the car, so that made it easier than if still in... but it was still a pain in the ass! I sure hope these things work without any problems. I do NOT want to take it all apart again.

If I had to do this again, I really think I would have done the weld on housing ends, or just bought an stronger bolt-in aftermarket housing.

Issues with c-clip eliminators:
- 2 extra holes had to be drilled in each axle flange (for a total of 4).
- The Moser supplied drilling templates were NOT accurate. The holes on the paper did NOT align with the holes in the eliminators. All 8 holes (4 on each end) had to be opened up significantly. This resulted in 6-8 trail fitting attempts.
- The backing plates had to be smashed flat for eliminator to sit flush on them. This was not mentioned in the instructions, and I'm wondering if/how this will affect braking performance.

Hope this helps someone who is considering doing the same thing.
