Honestly, I talked to a friend who was there this past Sat. at the Pontiac
Drags. Most cars were +.5 sec. do to the temps and traction sucked.

Well, will see it's the 15th it might be a lil cooler.
Plus I need the practice.
Also I haven't been down the 1/4 in this car yet and I'm going crazy. :biggrin:

if you get one run for your 20 bucks you will get lucky make sure you make it a good one because it will be the only run you will probably make the whole day..

If it's going to be in the high 80's that day I'm not going.

You should be able to get 2-3 runs with a full day of waiting. Unfortunately thats how it goes when there are ~400 cars. (possibly less on sunday)
Try not to follow a front wheel drive car. He'll probably track water way past the burnout box.

It's useless to torture these cars in the heat.You can easily lose 50 hp.under hot conditions. Makes more sense to run at Irwindale in the evening. Plus get more runs in. 1/8 mile is a good barometer of what your car will run in the 1/4 anyway so why beat it up ?

can't you dial it in, in a run or two?
don't ask me, I can't tune it in 30 runs !!

Parris Speedway on friday night, just make sure your brakes are good
I went 105 mph last week and was still able to stop with stock brakes. A t-type was not able to stop about three weeks ago because the 17 year old kid did not lift at the lights and went kaboom I have seen low six second at 118 mph cars there and still stop but with everything they have. It's not a great track but it is good one to tune a little.

Nothing is going to break! I'm going to drive there pull my slicks out of the trunk, run the car 4-5 times and drive home.

Well went to the track tonight and got kicked out the last run.

boost set at 24psi
cheveron 91 pump gas & Alky
150,000 miles


Not sure about tens but I do need a cage now! :biggrin: Maybe if I had some good heads and not these stockers. 10's capable?

Hey Brent it looked good. Get those heads ported with big valves and you should pick up about 60-80 hp at that boost easy.
