boost set at 24psi
cheveron 91 pump gas & Alky
150,000 miles

Not sure about tens but I do need a cage now! Maybe if I had some good heads and not these stockers. 10's capable?

Congrats dude, thats some strong running car u got there, whats makes me scratch my head is that your going that fast with those stock heads and i know they are stock cuz i seen them, that's pretty incredible 7.2 in the 1/8 puts you at around 11.1/11.2 1/4mile times, that car sure is an exception to the rule specially with that low boost 24psi that thing is hauling azz. congrats..

Way To Represent Brent

Congrats Brent......your 7.26 equates over to about a 11.3 1/4 mile conversion

As many people will attest to, it's all about tuning, the right combination of parts, the right track conditions, the right weather conditions, and lastly a driver that knows what to do with the items listed above

So many people spend thousands of dollars for mis-matched go fast parts that slow you down instead of making you faster.

Be careful as you get closer & closer to that 10 second range. High boost, lots of HP, 20 psi trans brake launches, the never ending need for just a little more speed is a perfect recipe for funding "Lou's" next trip to the Bahamas...lol

Of course that is a good thing too, because with a "Lou" rebuilt engine you'll probably start embarrasing some of the built cars currently running in the 10's

Your car is a freak...lol....enjoy it

You had a slippery track, air temps around 2000 degrees F (lol) yet you still managed multiple 7.5 second (and faster) 1/8 mile runs with a 150,000 mile stock block / head car........way to go

Wait until the cold air comes back, imagine what it may do then

All I know is that I better turn up the boost on my car real quick before i find myself looking at your tail lights at the finish line

Either that or I need to find a way to stick about 300 lbs of steel ballast in your trunk while your not looking...lol

Good luck with the FREAK

I will have to admit that Brent's car is responding very well. It's indeed all about the combination. I'm a big supporter of making horsepower & tuning with alcohol injection. In fact I believe now there's more advantage than running expensive racing fuel. 24# of boost with no knock is impressive. Of course the timing & fuel has to be exact to get best results. The rest is all common sense. My concern is how much more can the engine take before it expires. It was great to see the enthusiasm out there with some of the Buick folks that I met yesterday. These cars are still the baddest on the planet & can never be duplicated. They are an important piece of muscle car history.
