Ok in two weeks I will be flying home from Germany on leave. :) I plan on bolting on a few goodies while there :D . ALL helpful hints would be awesome! This is my first attempt at upgrading a TB. Here are my plans:

Bolt on a new PT-68 / manual boost controller/ 4 inch MAF pipe
Install my front mount intercooler
Install new 65lbs injectors/ new adjustable regulator/in line fuel gage
install new chip from Turbo Tweak
install 3500 stall Percision torque conveter
New wires
Aluminum drums with S-10 brakes
Line lock

Here are my questions:
I also have a Deltagate but do not have the setup on my exhaust for it. Can I build it myself? If so any write ups or pics?

I know how a line lock works. What are your recommendations? Should I put it on the front brakes for burnouts or rear brakes for spooling at the line?

As for the injectors/regulator, is it pretty much straight forward install?

Any "secrets" on installing the torque converter?

Thanks everyone! I will take photos and posts write ups on the installs.

I am no expert, but I would install line lock for "warm up" and transbrake for spooling.

Straight forward. Lightly grease the O-rings before install and be sure not to get the wires caught/mashed.

Be sure to torque them correctly and check the rear main for leaks and flex plate for cracks while you are in there.

You must be in the military ...... Thanks for serving!

Also on the torque converter be sure it has fully slid into the front pump. With the trans bolted up you should have 1/8" - 1/4"+ gap between the flex plate and the converter. You can strip the pump if it's not engaged.

Thanks for serving

sounds like you will have a sweet set-up when done!

Agree with all said. The converter may feel like it has clicked into place two times but still not be fuly seated - it will be done when it looks like there is no way it could be moved in any further as looking from the bottom side - the converter to trans case clearence - it will be very close to the trans case.

Also the injectors wires will look happy in one position but then may not clear as the other items are re-installed. No big deal as the injectors will spin in the manifold/fuel rail.

Get it all super clean before you start. Makes for a better and much more comfortable job.

Thanks everyone especially on the converter! Keep em coming!
