How hard is it to replace the cam in one of these cars? Is there a write up anywhere? and what cam would be good to use with a completely stock motor(except lt1 valve springs which i will be putting in at the same time as the cam)??? Basically just wondering if its ok just to imporve the cam and spring sin a motor without touching anything else. i dont see a problem with it, just want some opinions...

Yes, you can do this.
To keep from having to type up the same dialogue again, and again, and again, and......
I'd suggest doing a search on some recent cam conversations we've had on the board. You'll find enough info to keep you busy reading into the next millenium...
And, lots of varying opinions...

Just remember, conservative is better when choosing a cam...

here's a link to the most recent one...

This may have already been said in some other post, but I'll throw this in anyway.

Besides the issue of idle quality with a larger cam, also keep in mind that it can be harder to pass emissions at idle with a cam much larger than about 206-206 or so.

Im not looking to have a supr fast car or anything, i just want to know what cam would be a step up from stock but not cause any other issues witht he car, or should i just go with the OE cam?

Read the link I sent you above. It addresses the whole stock cam issue.
I'm too tired to get up on my cam soap-box right now...
