well since i'm pulling her apart for possible leaks, would be a good time to throw a cam in there if its a good idea

going with kinda old school setup but its what the pocket permits

std bore ,cheetah stage 3 (i think),with 82 housing ,009's,2800 stock style converter, heads have ss vlaves with the larger intake size...battling a rear end prob so i may either stay 3.42 or 3.73 w/ 28" tires just in case i wrecked my ring and pinion, i have em.
i also am thinking about the modified plenum and tb to go with it

any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks

If it's a stock cam and there is nothing wrong with it, keep it and be sure if you reuse the old lifters to keep them in the same positions...

It's a crap shoot getting a new cam to survive without wiping lobes...

Stock cam is good until the 10s...no need to go bigger...cam really isn't critical to going fast...

cam seems to be fine, with the exception that it was used out of my buddys car when i put it in. thanks for the replies
