cam gear and cam sensor wear

pulled my precision billet hyd roller setup apart and both gears are knife edged, the dist. gear on end of cam and cam sensor gear are knife edged, why? hv oil pump?misalignment?

No lube!!!! Go to Stage II and do a search on distributor gear. There is a post with pics titled distributor gear.
