Cam question with pics

Would you be afraid to run this cam? This journal has more wear marks than the others. If you try real hard, you can just catch one of the grooves with your fingernail. Any input would be appreciated.

It doesn't look too good that's for sure. Almost looks concave. I wouldn't run it

I wouldn't. If you can catch your nail on it, then it has a surface that will catch the bearing.

Take the hit, get a new cam, and don't risk thrashing a bearing and having to fix that whole mess.

Thanks for the input. I actually picked this up used from one of the grand prix forums. I knew it would have some wear marks since it was used, but the one groove had me concerned. Seller swears it is fine, but I wasn't sure.

For how cheap cams are, its just not worth it.

If it was lobe, then i'd say get it polished out / reground possibly if could get it done for cheap. And could possibly
make up for any major change in a custom pushrod. But even then, I'd still just go with a new cam.
