Does any one know if either of these two cam grind will work with all stock valve train parts, ie lifters, pushrods, springs? or should I go with 100lb springs for either one? Also, can I possibly sneak by CA. emissions with the later 214/224 cam?

DUR. ...........................LIFT.
In.....Ex.......050 .......In. ..... Ex.

262 272 204 214 448 472

280 290 214 224 472 496

By the way this is for an 82' NA motor, but I didnt get any help in the lounge so hopefully we can pretend it has a Turbo and the mods. will let it stay, TIA

Well the first cam looks to be the same specs as the Edelbrock performaer plus cam for Buick v6's. What edelbrock says in their catalog is single springs and stock rocker arms. So if your springs are still good then that cam should work great with all stock components.

Just curious but where did you get those specs from (what company) and what lobe centers did they give?

Got those specs from a "performance automotive warehouse" ad from a car craft...the cams are from a company called "super stock ind."...no lobe centers are advertised in the ad, I havent called to ask yet about that yet... I was just using those specs to make sure it would work with stock components and not cause any clearance issues.

Im leaning towards that 204/214 or a comp cams 212/212 for my NA daily driver. gotta be able to pass CA emissions with it.
