If you unplug the cam sensor and the car dies.. Is that a problem or not, and if so what could it be?

Car cranks and idles ok.
Just wondering if this is a problem i need to look into.
Im having issues with the car skipping at light throttle. but that's off topic.

I know that if you unplug it and the car runs good then the cam sensor is bad if you are having stumbling issues.
I was just wondering what would happen if you unplug and the car stumbles then dies.

Also if I unplug the maf sensor (4" Pipe) the car stay's running but run's rough & horrible. Plug it back up and it's fine.

These are just 2 sensors I thought the car should still run if unplugged.
Maf #s read fine. Just wondering.
