Welp...I took her for a spin and it wouldn't go past 3200 rpm's...it would kinda backfire. There was also a weird ticking noise. No oil pressure light or anything and it fired up instantly. What could cause this. And once I shit the car off there is this really loud dripping sound that continued for a solid minute after I turned it off...any help? Did I screw somethig up..

Are you positive you were on the compression stroke #1 when you set the cam sensor?

Describe the dripping sound a little more.

Yes I re-did the cam setting 4 times because I thought a valve was still opened.. The dripping was just loud dropping sounds of liquid but it was outside so I couldn't see if anything was dripping. And all of my coolant disappeard although I did have a tiny tiny leak in the reservoir

And what could cause my car to not accelerate like that... It was at 3000-3200rpm's. my coolant was gone and my headers were smoking like crazy. (Valve cover gasket leaking oil)

Pop the #1 spark plug out and put a small wad of toilet paper in the spark plug hole (not all the way in the cylinder). When you get to the compression stroke, it'll blow it out.

I'd pull the dipstick and check for milkshake.

No. Just pop out the #1 spark plug. Verify you're on the compression stroke, then verify your cam sensor setting isn't 180 out.

I was hoping its just burping the air out. This engine's not out of the woods yet

My thinking is that the engine hasn't been ran enough to tell is one plug has been steam cleaned (that's assuming the plugs are new after all the work)

I'm about to pull out all the plugs and no they were not new. Like I said..it was a moron that rebuilt my motor lol. Same plugs and wires..wouldn't be surprised if I have most of the same gaskets on there.

I did and it looks the same color as the oil I put in there the other day before running it... How can I check if I have a blown head gasket. SloGN is also assisting me with this but I love everyone's help because I guess that's the only way ya learn right?

Also, I filled up my radiator with water and my reservoir with coolant, drove to o'reillys to get new plugs and when I was there I popped the hood and my water was low and ALL of my coolant was gone. So I filled it up and went back home... I did the same thing and again...all my coolant and some of the water was gone. Ughh
