Cam sensor timing

No matter how many times I spin the motor the cam sensor window never points to the driver side at tdc. Could the shaft that drives it be in wrong?

Yeah, it's probably just a few teeth off. You can pull it out and move it if you need to. The most important thing is that it's set correctly.

So stick a magnet down the hole, lift it up, rotate the shaft and drop it back down?

The window needs to point at the headlight at 25* past tdc.

Take the bolt out that you loosen to adjust it, pull the whole thing out and on the bottom of it is a gear...like a distributor. You can move it a few teeth if you need to. If you can get it set correctly the way it is, you don't have to move it. Your call on that one.

It doesn't make any difference where the window is pointed as long as it is timed correctly.
