Cam sensor timing

If you have an aftermarket ecm chould you still set the timing 25 degrees pass zero ?

Not really, someone here must be running aftermarket ecm and know if you chould set 26 degrees past tdc like stock setup camsensor ,or is it not nessesary whit aftermarket ecm.

set it at 25ATDC give or take a few doesnt matter as it does not change spark timing only which coil pack fires and initial fire sequence of injector. you could move it 30degrees either way and spark timing wont be changed
the crank sensor controls timing and is fixed and should be verified to be correct when running an aftermarket balancer like the BHJ
bhj can be off more than 6 degrees (or more) checked at the balancer with a timing gun (fix the timing at say 30 degrees in ecu) and if off can be corrected for in the aftermarket ecu so that your programed timing is what the engine gets

with aftermarket cranks and balancers you should also verify that with #1 at TDC that balancer mark reads at zero , if not you can use an adjustable indicator

Looks to be a Haltech 2500 Elite ecm.

The answer depends on how the tune in the ECM is set up. Most aftermarket ECU's can be configured for almost any alignment of the cam sensor. The Vendor/Tuner/Support people should be able to tell you.

However, it seems likely that any "base tune file" would have been developed on a "stock configured" car, so 25 ATDC #1 (falling edge) is likely the right place to start
