yes, but why? You will need to remove it to prime the engine before firing it up.

Engine is already primed

That's how I do mine--If I crank for a few seconds with the starter after install and no Oil Pressure, can always pull the sensor and do a re-prime. I prime on the stand with the VCs off and can see/hear results when the oil hits the top of the engine and the drill motor slows down...
