Anyone got one I could test out? I'm thinking the problem with the car is the Cam Sensor. I've reset it 3 times and three different positions. 1st it was towards the passenger side at 180*. then I took it out and tried to set it 180* towards the driver side. the window pointed back towards the driver side, not towards the driverside head light where I thought it would be. then I set it again and this time it's pointing towards the passenger side headlight. after each reset..the car would start up and run. still with rich conditions poping, backfireing, missing...basically this car is suffering from cancer at the moment. :p:eek:

Chris, is it the same as the 86-87 ones? If it is I have a brand new one you can try out.

Chris, hows the MAF on your car? Clint had similar problems with his 86 and it turned out to be a bad MAF. It was his second rebuilt unit.

John, the cam sensor is the same for all cars. I thought the same with the MAF..but I changed it out and it still ran the same.

Chris, was that MAF you swapped a rebuilt one? Will the LT1 MAF and translator work on you car? Or I have a good stock MAF that you could try.

I cant use an LT1 MAF yet. My parts, to use the 86/87 ECM hasnt come in yet. I just ordered the MAT line and MAT sensor from John Spina and it should be in by next week or two. The MAF I have came off an 84 T. Jackson used it and it was good on his 84 T. I doubt there's any difference bettween the 84 and 85.

Chris -I have a cam sensor that's sitting in the trunk of my T. You can use it to test out your car if you want, but I'll need it back eventually. :o :)

ok...the car ran :p like a champ since changing out the CS with Rob's one. Now I tried to swap chips from the stock to the Kenne Bell one and I think I shorted out the 85 ECM  I reconnected the fuse link with the ignition "on" Tried to crank over the car but it doesnt want to follow through. I checked the fuses and all, everythings good. ARGH!!! I fix one thing...the next breaks! :(
