is there any reason why i cant put a big nasty bumpstick in my car?

its a carbed turbo, so ill also take suggestions of a good cam. this car will only be driven occasionaly, so i dont have to worry about reliablity and horrable gas mileage that comes with a big cam, i just want some more hp out of it.

Too much of an overlap and the boost pushes out the exhaust before being compressed. Turbo motors generally don't use wild cams. I plan to use a cam that's recommended for 86/87 intercooled engines. There should be plenty on this in the general tech forum.

Actually, the boosted intake charge isn't allowed to enter the combustion chamber with too much overlap. The Pre turbo exhaust of an 86/87 car has over 40psi of back pressure. When you have 20psi (or less) of boost fighting with 40psi exhaust pressure, the exhaust wins. 206/206 is the biggest I would go.
