Can a torque converter rattle??

been hearing a weird rattle lately..

thought it was the flywheel bolts... nope they are tight. thought it was the exhaust.. nope..



rattle happens.. at higher rpms.. like if i keep it in 1st, 2nd or 3rd and run it up past 4500...

rattle happens if you rev in neutral... but only on the DECELERATION side of the curve..

rattle happens sometimes at idle.



...could the flywheel/flexplate to crank bolts be loose? if so would that cause a rattle that appears to come from the converter?

It very well could be your converter. Do you have a 5 disk one? Those I know rattle

stock D5 loosened to 2500
 
Oh I have only heard of the 5 disks rattling, yeah something aint right in there:confused:
