I have a 87 grand national with a smc kit, running denatured alcohol. My question is can i run methanol with this kit without issue

Depends on which version kit you have. In-tank pump kits the answer was no.
External pump kit should have been ok to do so.

thanks for the help im new to the forum, my kit has inside pump, what is your take on the denatured alcohol? do you like it? or no

The denatured was used as it was less corrossive. And a lube like Klotz(WD40 would also work) was used to help lubricate the EFI pump used. The big thing is the age of that kit and life expectancy on those pumps sitting in alcohol. Amazing that its still working. Use the test button and watch your knock gauge.

will the knock go into the red? so far it works as it should i think , but what am i to look for?

look for no knock ,
check the gauge on bottle while holding the test button and make sure its building pressure

When it stops working and it WILL

Call Julio and get a real KIT!!!

Just sayin JD

I would get rid of your existing system and buy an alkycontrol kit BEFORE what you have now fails.

Thanks. just bought this gn and it already had a setup on it .do you if there is a company that made the grand national wheel, buy aluminum ? and may bigger sized ?
