Can anyone identify this turbocharged Buick V6?

I figured I would post this here as well as the general turbo forums as this is a non-intercooled V6 Buick turbo.

Looks to me like the carbed version that was on the 78-83 turbo cars. i think the before black section would know.

I've seen this type of car before. There is a webpage that used to be listed with GNTTYPE.org, where a gentleman took a 79 TR motor (carburated), and custom made his own exhaust system for fit. He was diappointed with the performance and then squeezed in the intercooled motor to tune in some 10 sec slips...I believe it was a 82 porche. But that looks like the custom 79 motor. Good luck!
