hey guys. well, i finally got my engine on sunday. It is stock with
009's and ta49 turbo on it. I am going to be ordering this stuff this week:

Champion ported irons

Champion ported lower and upper intake

new heavy duty timing chain

speedpro 204/214 camshaft

Now, I have never installed this stuff before on an engine that needed to run afterwards :D but i don't feel like paying somebody to do it. I have tools and I am mechanically inclined, and the engine is on a stand, so how hard could it be??? The only thing stopping me is that I am spending alot of cash, and I dont want the thing to not be assembled correctly when I'm done. what do you guys think? What do you think it would cost to have somebody install this stuff for me? Do you think I could handle it, or are there too many tricks and things NOT to do for me to attempt this myself? (I mean, I'm not a girl!) just don't want to throw all this cash in the toilet!!! let me know.

the hardest part should be the cam... im always scared of putting cams in cars, because i always afraid i didnt do the bearings right, you have to have a special tool to pull and put in cam bearings... thats the hardest part, other than that the other stuff is pretty strait fowart, i mean there no real tricks to it... its pretty much 'bolt ons'

I used a Polaroid Camera to look at how the timing marks and
everything else lined up. Make sure you have no vaccum leaks!
I wiped a cam because I could not keep the motor running.
If you take your time you should do just fine.
