Just curious,.... I do have one of the billet water neck thinggies,...and I was going to replace it when I did my themostat.

But,.... From the looks of it I might not have to. (Replace the thermostat with a 160 degree unit)

My temps (When the weather was nice a few days ago) NEVER got above 172-173. This is with me romping on it and running about 17-18 Lbs of boost with a thrasher 93. (filled up with GT100)

Those temps look like my thermostat is already a cooler one??? I've got the replacement I can switch,... but it seems like it's already fairly cool. (Of course temps outside were cool too,.... maybe 55 degrees F. )

Anyone???

ya con't go wrong using a 160 stat to keep it cool in the summers.. Id change it while you are in there..

My temps in December @ 50 degrees with a 160 thermostat were in the 150-160 range...so you may be on to something there but as FlyinGN stated; I'd change it just to be sure and keep your original as a spare. My Reds chip recommends 160 as do the Thrashers and most other aftermarket chips.
