Can I pull the code off my wife's 96 Regal the same as mine?

The SES light is on and I want to know if I can pull the code by grounding the ALDL like on my car.

It has the 3100 SFI engine.

Also a list of codes would be super

no.. you shouldnt be able to. Its an OBD2 car.

Autozone will do it for free and tell you what it is

in the middle of this article is a list of generic OBD2 codes. Bear in mind that there are also manufacturer specific OBD2 codes and retrieving these types of codes require a scan tool that will retrieve manufacturer specific OBD2 codes.

Before you spend any substantial time checking for codes, check the gas cap is on tight. It is very common for the vapor pressure sensor to trip if the gas cap is loose. I found this out when someone siphoned gas from one of the family OBDII cars.

I went to autozone and they diagnosed it as the O2 sensor. Threw a new one in and good to go
