Just be honest with them... You wont get more "Money" just because you tell them the car is a GN.... I had to do an INS claim on my car. Its a Turbo Limited... They thought it was just a bone stock Regal.. I just had to explain to them that it was a Regal with the special "T" package.. When they look it up, the 3.8L Turbo Package came up, and they notice the Huge difference (price wise) between both cars.. You might have to do a little leg work, might have to send them some Blue book values, ech... but its pointless to claim something you DO NOT have.... you wouldnt get more money for one car or the other(GN vs T-TYPE).... good luck..

A lot of people like specialty insurance but many normal insurance companies understand specialty cars.

I have had Cotton States Insurance out of Georgia for 25 years. No one can match the rates they give me now because they give me long term committment credits. They insure all my vehicles, properties and life. They understand specialty vehicles. I can use the vehicles any way I want with full coverage. Once, some goof pulled in front of the GS shortly after restoration, I dinked the nose of the hood and broke the grill. The adjuster talked to me over the phone and never even came to look. He said find NOS parts, get an estimate for paint repair and then fax me their phone numbers where you will buying from. I had the check in 5 days.

I have had 6 auto claims with them in that 25 years and they took care of everyone completely to my satisfaction. I will never leave them.

They pay replacement value of the car stolen or totaled!
They pay repair value if it is fixable!

I have no worries.

My dad just totaled his 96 LT-1 Fleetwood with 120K miles. He is hard on cars and does not take good care of them cosmetically. I talked him into going to Cotton States a few years ago.
They gave him $6250.00 for it. I was shocked because I figured maybe $3200.00!

I had a tree hit by lightning on my property and the Cotton States adjuster comes out and pays for the tree plus a couple of others to be removed and gives me an extra $500.00/tree for property devaluation from the loss of the trees.
