Ever have one of those discovorys that make you smile. I think I just had one.

I just got my new Tial 38 mm Ext WG in today. (Super nice piece by the way).
My old deltagate WG that came with the ATR pipe I bought used years ago had stuck closed a few times. I have been putting off buying a new WG but I finally purchased one and when I removed my deltagate completely off the DP I was in for a suprise. The valve seat was no where near being sealed against the flange. There was a 2-3 mm gap where daylight was shining thru. It must be leaking boost like crazy. I am going to put the new Tial on in the morning and I am hoping for something good when I go to spool that big turbo up. I mean...dont get me wrong...it spools up FASTTTT now. But, if its gonna be faster...

What do you think guys....Am I going to notice a big difference?

Im curious to see what does happen. Take an incar vid, because ive been wanting to hear what one of these sound like.

I would guess there'd be a fair bit of difference if the gap really was 3mm wide leaking air.

All I can say is that I was right. It feels like I have a brand new car. The spool rate is incredible. I have been thru 2 turbos with that wastegate and I never knew what I was missing. That 6776 comes on at 1/4 throttle now and hits 10-15 psi like it was nothing! Its like its spooling all the time and is availbale at normal cruising speed. With no other changes I went from from 24 psi to spiking at 29 psi. I had to unscrew my RJC controller down about 5 turns.

So I guess I answered my own question.

6776 BB =.. the best turbo that as ever come out for the Turbo Buick...

from gbodyparts.com

The best "No Compromise" turbo buick upgrade unit available. The powerfull and mid 10 proven GT6776 turbo combined with a ball bearing center section will give mild street manners and only require a 3000-3200 stall converter. Spools like no big turbo you have tried and is very street friendly to boot.If you want a proven low 10 sec turbo and street friendly manners look no further.

I will shoot some pics today sometime. As far as in car vid I will have to sneak the digital camera from my wife. I cant tell her I will be strapping it to the headrest:eek: :D

here is a pic of mine installed
