......tell me if the blue wire on the car's harness has 7 Volts? i'm trying to find the reason for my no start condition.
yesterday on the way home from the McChicken store, i blinked a code 41. the camsensor is GM and only a few months old. needless to say, i've got a car that won't restart.
since the blue wire is suposed to lose voltage when in front of the window, i thought my sensor was "stuck high". turns out, when i unplug it, the blue wire stays hot. i even unplugged the ECM and it was hot. i'm trying to read wiring diagrams on GNTTYPE.org, but i've yet to find a page with the cam sensor on it. does anybody know where the blue wire runs to? i allways ASSumed that it went to the ecm.
this sucks, i'm suposed to pick a friend up at the airport in atlanta at 11am tomorrow, and my damn car want's to pull this crap.

take the cap off your cam sensor and make sure the interrupter ring is tight and seated (2 screws on the sides to remove cap and 1 screw in the middle holds the ring under the cap)

Good old Jimmy to the rescue!:)
Sounds like the ignition module might have gone bad.
Check the grounding to the mounting plate and engine first.
