Can those hard plastic vacuum lines be changed to rubber ones?

On a hot-air car, those hard brittle lines that keep on breaking that go from the vacuum block to the passenger side fender area, can i change those to normal rubber lines? reason they are plastic?

yes

They're made that way because they are molded to follow an exact routing. Changing them over to regular ol' vacuum line is fine.
