Car Killing

So ur driving down the road minding ur own business and all of a sudden the car kills, u check in front of u just to make sure that u dont have to slam on the brakes since its like pushing a shovel into concrete, slam the sucker into Nuetral and hope to god it starts (and that no one noticed that ur nice car just killed in the middle of traffic). I can drive about 10 miles and my car will kill at least 4 times. Its always when i am backing off the throttle and the tachometer starts going towards 1k. It never has any problems starting again just kills when i back off of throttle. WHAT COULD IT BE? TPS? Bad ECU?

I see you have a DFI. What kind of DFI? Is it the FAST or the ACCEL unit? On the FAST unit it sounds like the P or D gain terms or the idle follower settings. I'm not sure how the accel unit works.
