Car has started just dying. The engine, lights, etc. just go off. A few minutes later it will crank and run fine. All grounds are connected. And Batter is good. Any Ideas?

Sometimes it flickers enogh to kill the engine and then it will crank right back.

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA

Check the battery cables if the engine torques over on the cable then it could smash the cables with the downpipe and if they are fine it may be a loose connection in the voltage light bulb in the dash, if it does not come on when you turn the key, then the electrical system will not charge, I had an endless problem with that bulb, on cold mornings, and a new bulb and messing with the connections solved that problem. Good luck.

Might sound weird but my car died a few times and it turned out to be my starter going out. The car cranked very slowly on start-up but I dismissed it as my battery just getting old. Check connections to the starter as a simple first step. I hope this helps.

You might have a weak fusable link. My car just lost all electrical power and it turns out it was the fusable link.

What Does the volt meter read at idle? If your alternator is weak/junk same thing will happen. Sounds like the header burned through the positive cable and is shorting out though, check that first.
