car surges

[PHAT BOOST]

If i hold boost at 5psi on the high way the surges and the boost needle moves up and down. Could this be bad vacum lines?
HELP

Any scantool data? Hows the car run flat out? Does it have the stock fuel system? TPS set correctly?

Sounds like you're running out of fuel! At a steady 5 psi of boost you ARE using quite a bit of fuel, and a dirty filter might be the cause, or maybe a weak fuel pump, or collapsed filter sock...

OR, could be a vacuum leak, or your EGR valve is open or leaking...

I was thinking all of the above and maybe your O rings in the turbo adapter to intake fitting. Maybe check all the VAC connections too...

I need to check the volts at the pump i have a 307 hotwired but my grounding strap keeps coming off. Also the car sat for 10 years. So im having a hard time with the filter not wanting to come off. And i do need to check all the lines,i rreplaced some but not all. Thanks for the info and i'll let you know how i make out.
