Gang,

This ??? has probably been asked before, but are there any car things to do in Las Vegas or its environs? We're coming out for a week beginning March 30th, and going to the NHRA event the following weekend, but we were wondering what other car stuff there might be to do. Race rock, museums, cruises, shops, go karts, laps on the NASCAR track, whatever.

Thanks in advance.

:D

Imperial Palace's Auto Collection on The Strip
Shelby's Cobra factory at the track (I'm not positive if this is still there)

Shelby is definitely still around - I have a brother that works there for him testing cars (tough job)

He also works at the major NHRA events.

If you want to turn some laps at the speedway. They have Indy style ride alongs and also the Richard Petty Driving experience where you can drive.

Was there over Christmas Break. The Imperial Palace Museum is free if you go to the Change Station on the main floor by the elevators and ask for the free tickets. You'll find those same directions in a Vegas Coupon Book. It's worth going to for free. Gotta love the Twin Turbo Jag XJ220. :p Elenore  and what looks like a continuation Cobra.

The Shelby Museum is at the track and should be good. My family didn't have time. :(

The Al capone car used to be on display there at one of the casinos. Don't know if it still is.
The "Bonnie & Clyde" car is, or was on display at one of the casinos at the state line.
