Carb'ed/ turbo'ed

I also posted this in the "before black" area but had a quick question... I stumbled onto a very early turbo 3.8, that is carb'ed. The motor is almost complete, all sheet metal, intake, turbo, etc. It is sitting in a "core pile" at a local machine shop I used to work at. My question is: are the internals compatible with a 85-87 GN? Is it a good turbo crank, good 2 dot rods? Does anyone ever buy these intakes and turbos for their older 3.8's?

If its a 78 or newer then the crank should be a winner.
